| Getting Involved
People want to get involved in Diversity Hub following attendance at one of our events, or because they have heard from someone else about the work we do. They may want to ensure no one else is bullied or targeted as they were. They may be concerned about social justice issues. Or they may want to make a difference and change their community or organisation.
So what does being involved look like? The key about being involved is that you want to help build community cohesion and end all prejudice and discrimination. Some people want to assist us lead our workshops - we train them first and they often start off by leading different parts, getting coaching along the way. Some quickly progress to delivering their own workshops and we assist them lead in their own organisation or community.
However, many people do not want to take a front line leadership role delivering workshops or training, but they still want to get involved. Great! We want and need people who want to do other things also. You can help run one of our projects or get involved in evaluation processes. You may be interested in maintaining our small garden or keeping our building nicely decorated.
Administration and accounts could be your thing, or you may want to organise events, or to produce Diversity Hub News. Whatever your interests, let us know, we'll be delighted to welcome you to our team of volunteers. Being involved as a volunteer is a two way process. It's not just about what you give us. We give to you also.
We value our volunteers and they access a wide range of training and skills practice sessions, training as trustees and there is the opportunity to come to our social occasions, celebrations and other events. Contact us to find out more.
