Leicester Against Bullying (LAB)

Like our Friends Against Bullying project, the Leicester Against Bullying (LAB) project trains young people who are not in education, employment or training; are not in full time education; or attend alternative curriculum establishments, in leadership skills so they can tackle bullying in their lives and lead their peers in bullying reduction programmes. This project is based at Diversity Hub.

With this project, like the FAB project, we train young people to be leaders by recognising and appreciating their own and others identities; understanding the impact of stereotyping; and teaching practical skills to challenge name calling in a positive way, that aims to change the perpetrators attitude and therefore, behaviour. The additional benefits are emotional literacy, increased confidence and self-esteem, active citizenship, and young people taking a role of responsibility and leadership. The LAB project helps young people return to mainstream education.

Information on our work with young people can be found on our Resources page. Call 0116-222-9977 for more information or email liz@diversityhub.org.uk
