The project is for Young people aged 16-25, from Leicester City, to make a differnce in their communities by reducing bullying through a number of volunteering opportunties.

The project is part of vinvolved – the nation’s biggest ever youth action programme  backed by £75 million funding from v the youth volunteering charity. Over the next three years, the programme will encourage up to 500,000 young people across England to help out in 158 local projects. They will be supported by a network 107 vinvolved teams/projects located in every region to ensure young people have the chance to join in.

Project Manager, Margaret Brough says volunteering can fit flexibly around young people’s lives and is urging 16-25 year olds to get in touch: “The amount of time you give is up to you and you don’t need special qualifications. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, try something different, learn useful skills and give something back to your community – so get in touch and get vinvolved!”
